Oinky's
Welcome to Oinky’s!
You’re a recently hired part-time employee at America’s favorite pig-themed fast-food restaurant, Oinky’s. Maintain enough mental health to get through your shift (without getting caught eating out of the trash too many times) and win a semblance of self-respect in this action-packed digital card game.
This game was made in 10 days for Portland Indie Game Squad’s 2021 Tabletop Jam, featuring the theme "harmful resource.” We are working on adding more cards and additional polishing over the course of this month—stay tuned.
How to Play
Congratulations on your new job! Your goal to earn $1,000 and move out of your parents’ house is finally attainable.
Here at Oinky’s, your salary starts out at just $6 an hour, so you’ll have to work shifts and earn raises in order to save up that much. You’ll also have to be careful with your mental health… The fast food life is taxing, and you’re sensitive—this means you’ll lose more mental health every day that you work, and once you lose it all, you lose the game. Strategize which cards you buy to maintain a perfect work-life balance, all while trying to raise your hourly pay and eventually get that grand in the bank. Five cards are drawn from your deck at the start of every turn (if you don’t have enough cards in your deck, they will be pulled from your discard pile). When you play a card with a “draw card” action, it will pull a random card from your discard pile. Happy oinking!
TL;DR:
Start game at $6 per shift. Win game at $1,000. Lose game at $0 or 0% mental health.
